Sometimes the easiest foods to prepare are really the best.

More often what we want to learn on a day-to-day basis is a bunch of quick and easy recipes that we can prepare without spending too much time. Add up to that is purchasing expensive ingredients just to prepare a single meal.

We heard about Paleo Diet or . The "Paleo Diet" also referred to as the caveman diet is a way of obtaining nutrition based on the assumed ancient eating plan of wild animals and plants that various human species constantly consumed during the Paleolithic era.

One healthful recipe which you can all prepare in about 20 minutes or less is Pork chops with apples and onions. You will be needing 4 bone-in pork chops, with the trimmings; 3 tbsp lard, butter; ghee or coconut oil; 2 large onions, sliced; 4 sliced and cored apples; Salt and pepper to taste. Heat a large pan over a medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper to taste. Melt 2 tbsp of the cooking fat and fry the chops, about 5 minutes on each side, until well-cooked and browned. Set the pork chops aside, reduce the heat to medium-low, add the other tbsp of cooking fat and add the onion and apple slices. Cook for about 4 minutes, until the onions have caramelized and the apple slices are slightly soft. You can serve the chops with the toppings of apple and onions for a mouth-watering meal.

An additional beneficial Paleo recipe is liver & onions. Prepare 4 large slices pork or beef liver; 5 large onions, sliced; 6 tbsp butter or lard; salt and pepper to taste. Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat and add 5 tbsp of the butter and the sliced onions. Cook slowly, stirring often, for about 20 to 25 minutes, until the onions are really soft and caramelized. Near the end of the cooking process of the onions, heat another pan over a medium-high heat and cook the liver with the rest of the cooking fat, about 3 minutes on each side. Serve the liver topped with the delicious and creamy cooked onions. This is also delicious served with a little bit of homemade salsa on the side.

These recipes are all fine and enjoyable, very easy and simple to prepare. You just need to be more cautious on your intake, and the body's necessary requirement.

Here are some tips in preparing healthy .

• Low to moderate carbohydrates and moderate protein are essential.
• Use stable saturated fats like coconut oil, tallow butter and lard are good for cooking.
• Cook using more animal parts as possible and you can use bones to make stocks and broths.
• Eat cooked and raw vegetables that come from different varieties.
• Lessen the use of dairy products other than butter and maybe heavy cream.
• Consider supplements that provide vitamin D.
• Eliminate or reduce highly refined products such as sugar and refined-grain products like bread and pasta.

What's Required In Order To Qualify For The Free Meals On Medifast?

ByLindsey Price

I'm pretty direct about my belief that the free meals offered by Medifast is often the best deal. I realize that the company usually also offers money off of your order but I find that the free food makes the most sense most of the time. Sure the monetary discount is nice, but the free food is often worth more than the monies off. People often ask me how much you need to spend or how many meals you need to order in order to qualify for the free food.

The company is generally pretty consistent in their offers but they do change from time to time. Generally though, these deals are valid on a package, which means that you are looking at either a variety package or the design a menu option. You'll generally have to order four weeks worth of food (instead of the smaller two week package) and opt for VIP membership which means that they ship your next order when the last one finishes or until you cancel, of course.

You often can't use the free food offer on a la carte items or on smaller packages of boxed items. I know that the packages may seem more expensive at first glance, but if you consider the fact that a couple of weeks worth of free food is worth about $150 dollars, then it makes a lot of sense. For example, the dollars off are often around $55 - $66 dollars and don't get me wrong, that is a great deal, especially if you only have a small amount of weight to lose and so the VIP membership wouldn't make a lot of sense. But, if you're going to place more than a couple of orders, then you can see that the weeks worth of free food is actually worth more than the money off and certainly worth the effort.

So to answer the question posed, ordering a 4 week package (which typically includes around 145 meals) is typically the way to go when you want to qualify for the free meal offer. As I said, the offers do change from time to time, so you'll want to make sure that you've found the offer and are entering in any code that is required. (Any required information is usually asked for at a little box on the bottom of the page at checkout.) The process is pretty simple and you can always hit the back button if you make a mistake and start over.

How to Create Your Own Paleo Meals

ByErnesto L Santos

Paleo diet is a way of eating started in 1970's by the gastroenterologist Walter L. Voegtlin - with the advocacy of staying away from the foods which causes the diseases of civilization like Diabetes, High Blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, Osteoporosis, and even Cancer. It stays away from consuming artificially prepared, and Post Paleolithic age food like refined sugars, processed and refined oils.

As to whether it can make you slim and healthy - this is still a question not yet answered and proven through years like the other diets. What we now is that it is one way of living that has a primary goal. So if you are interested you might be asking on, how can I create my own Paleo meals? Hard rules that I must not break, and tips to sustain it for a long time? Yes, here are some key points to remember for Paleo diet.

• Vegetables and Fruits are allowed. Ever since the world was created, these foods can be gathered manually, resulting for it to be a valid food for Paleo diet. It acts as the main Carbohydrates and Sugar source of the person who will decide to enter this eating regimen. Also, it introduces tons of fiber that is beneficial to the body- specifically to the digestive system.

• Meat - all-you-can. For hunters or carnivores out there, this diet is right for you. You can eat all the chicken, beef, and pork you want. It serves as a fabulous source of Protein which promotes muscle growth and repair.

• Stay away from refined sugars, dairy products and processed oils - these are post Palaeolithic age foods that just causes obesity.

• Egg is allowed - of course, the famous by-product of chicken, egg is allowed for this. Stock a few in your refrigerator to serve as an easy hunger quencher

• Have a healthy heart and eat fish - since our ancestors, catch fish before, we are also allowed to eat it in this diet.

After knowing the basic rules, now let us discuss on the preparation of your Paleo meals. Technically, you can combine the foods mentioned based on your mood and creativity. There's no limit or a required ratio, so all you need to know is how to prepare each major classification.

For the fish, most will like it to be grilled - so you can preserve the freshness by cooking it right away. You can either simply put salt in it, or use some spices and soy sauce, vinegar, and pepper to create a sizzling fish. Yummy!

For meat, it is better if you can cook in steak style, and pour in some gravy and sauce to add flavour

Vegetables and Fruits can serve as a great dip for your meat; likewise, it can also be tossed and turned to be a fresh salad! Combine it with fish to create one full and healthy Paleo meal.
